Dhela Safari Zone Booking

​Dhela Safari Zone, nestled in the southern buffer of Jim Corbett National Park, offers an exceptional wildlife experience. Accessible via the Dhela Gate, approximately 15 km from Ramnagar, this zone is renowned for its rich biodiversity, including tigers, elephants, sloth bears, and a variety of bird species. The terrain comprises deciduous forests interspersed with expansive grasslands, providing excellent visibility for wildlife sightings.​

Safari operations are conducted in two shifts daily: morning and evening. During winter (October to March), the morning safari operates from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM, and the evening safari from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. In summer (April to June), the timings adjust to 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM for the morning safari and 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM for the evening safari. Each safari lasts approximately three hours, allowing ample time for exploration and wildlife observation.​ ​

To ensure a seamless experience, advance booking is recommended, as only a limited number of vehicles are permitted per shift. Bookings can be made through authorized online portals or directly at the Corbett National Park office in Ramnagar. A non-refundable deposit is required upon booking, and necessary identification documents, such as a government-issued ID for Indian nationals or a passport for foreign visitors, must be provided.​ ​

For those seeking an immersive experience, the Dhela Forest Rest House offers overnight accommodations from November 15 to June 30. This facility provides a unique opportunity to stay within the park, enhancing the wildlife experience. However, bookings for the rest house are subject to availability and should be made well in advance.
